Foot Locker: Art Prize
Game on!
The Foot Locker Art Prize is the most exciting collaboration in Australasia's sneaker history.
With a first prize of $50,001, it's also the World's Richest Colouring Competition, trumping the prestigious Archibald Prize by $1.
Our aim is to shake up the art world. This is a serious art prize, but it's also a colouring competition so it's wide open to street artists, fine artists, school kids and anyone who has ever lived and breathed sneakers. Anyone could win it.
There are 8 templates to choose from -- some of our all-time favourite kicks from Nike, adidas, Puma and Converse. Everyone has the same starting point so it's all about self-expression, customisation and seeing where it can take you.
The prizes are big and the judges have serious cred. There's world-renowned sneaker artist, Dave White; esteemed art critic, Andrew Frost; and sneaker aficionado, Simon 'Woody' Wood.
Call for entries: http://footlockerartprize.com
Entries close 20 June 2011.
(Entries are only open to residents of Australia and NZ. Sorry! Maybe next year guys.)
